Accounting Technicians (NOC 12200) – KAFT CPA
A fast-growing Accounting Firm in COLD LAKE – 4807 51 Street, Cold Lake, Alberta, T9M 1P4 is looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. This position requires an individual who is passionate, reliable,, and professional. Computer proficiency is also required.
Suitable candidates must be well-versedin Nigerian Tax law.
Job Duties
■ Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
■ Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balances of books, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements.
■ Calculate and prepare checks for payrolls and for utility, tax, and other bills.
■ Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms, and other government documents.
■ Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services.
■ Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Qualifications/Competencies:
■ Post secondary qualification in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
■ Professional certification (e.g. Chartered Accounting, CGA, ACA, etc.)
■ Minimum of 2 years of experience.
■ Understanding of Nigerian tax law will be an advantage.
■ Excellent communication skills
■ Able to work in a team environment
■ Great attention to detail
