Tasks:
Hire and train or arrange for training of staff, Order merchandise, Authorize return of merchandise, Establish work schedules, Sell merchandise, Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages, Organize and maintain inventory, Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, Manage cash, staff and volunteer staff, supervise and coordinate sales staff and determine schedules; knowledge of hardware & software, Sales and merchandise stock; hire, train, explain duties and other responsibilities to sales staff; maintain required inventory and order merchandise; submit purchase orders to suppliers, deal with suppliers or return merchandise as required; authorize payments by credit and debit; ensure adequate stock of all products are on display; deal with any problems that arise, such as customer complaints, supply shortages, staffing issues; prepare reports at the end of the shift with respect to merchandise sold; close cash and assist owner in all aspects of the management of the store; Keep up to date with the current stock.
