EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time
HOURS: 40 hours/week
EDUCATION: – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field
EXPERIENCE: – 3+ years in finance, banking or financial analysis – Experience in transportation/logistics is an asset
JOB DUTIES: – Plan, organize and direct the company’s financial operations – Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for owners – Develop and manage the annual budget; monitor variances – Control operating costs including fuel, maintenance, insurance and payroll – Manage cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable – Oversee carrier settlements and driver pay processing – Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls – Liaise with external accountants, banks and auditors – Ensure compliance with CRA and other regulatory requirements – Supervise and train finance and accounting staff
