Construction Worker – Plumber Helper (75110)

Larry Tech is looking for a Construction Worker – Plumber Helper to join its seasoned team.
The successful candidate among other things would be required to:
l Work with Construction Engineers at the site to assist in moving items around the site.
l Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
l Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and aggregates
l Assist tradespersons such as plumbers in construction activities
l Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
l Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
l Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
l Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
l Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
l Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants from sites
l Direct traffic at or near construction sites
l Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Employment requirements
· Previous experience as a general construction labourer
· Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met
· Assists in arranging materials for the Plumbers when they perform regular inspections of pipes and plumbing fixtures.
· Under the direction of a licensed plumber, install pipes, replace faucets, unclog toilets, install garbage disposals, and adjust water pressure.
· On-the-job training may be provided.
Benefits
· Wage rate according to experience $25.00 / hr. 30 – 44 hours a week.
