Job Description:
Mountain Family Cleaning Ltd. is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Housekeeper to provide professional cleaning services for short-term vacation rental properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that rental units are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for incoming guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Employment Type: Full-Time (30-44 hours per week, depending on the season), Morning, Day, Evening, Weekends

Start Date: as soon as possible

Accommodation: Staff accommodation is not available for this position. The applicant will need to secure their own accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Clean and maintain short-term vacation rental properties, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and common spaces.

·       Perform thorough cleaning between guest check-outs and check-ins, ensuring properties are ready for incoming guests.

·       Change bed linens, make beds, replace towels, and prepare bedrooms according to established standards.

·       Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.

·       Clean kitchens, including countertops, sinks, appliances, cabinets, and dishes.

·       Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, and clean windows and other surfaces.

·       Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other laundry items.

·       Replenish guest supplies, including toiletries, toilet paper, cleaning products, and other essential items.

·       Empty garbage bins, remove recycling, and dispose of waste appropriately.

·       Inspect rental units for cleanliness, damages, or missing items and report any issues to management.

·       Follow established cleaning checklists and company procedures to ensure consistent cleaning standards.

·       Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.

·       Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

·       Complete assigned cleaning tasks within scheduled timeframes to accommodate guest arrivals and departures.

Requirements:

·       Previous experience in residential, hotel, or vacation rental cleaning is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

·       Use your own bike for transportation between worksites or to be comfortable using the e-scooters we provide. Moving on food is not an option for this position.

·       Ability to communicate in English

·       Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

·       Good time-management and organizational skills.

·       Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning supplies.

·       Reliable, punctual, and able to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.

·       Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on guest check-in and check-out schedules.
