Position Summary
Project Solution Consult Inc, 284 Ambledale Drive NW Calgary AB T3P 2Z2 is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and assembly work in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
l Read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
l Perform welding using appropriate processes and equipment, including MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding as required.
l Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal components and structures.
l Measure, cut, fit, and prepare metal materials for welding.
l Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality and accuracy.
l Operate and maintain welding machines, hand tools, and related equipment safely.
l Identify and correct welding defects and fabrication issues.
l Follow workplace health and safety procedures and applicable Alberta regulations.
l Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
l Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
l Completion of secondary school or college is preferred.
l Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication is required.
l Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
l Proficiency with welding tools, equipment, and measuring instruments.
l Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety.
l Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
l Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift/move materials as required.
Working Conditions
The position is full-time and may require working in a workshop, construction, fabrication, or project-site environment. The employee must comply with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
