• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience:

• 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities

Tasks:

• Interpret welding process specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals

• Examine welds to ensure they meet specifications

• Operate manual/semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

• Use CAD tools

• Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (AOC)

• Determine material weldability

Materials Used:

• Steel, iron, and other heavy metals

Techniques:

• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

• Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)

Equipment Experience:

• Arc welding machine

• Gas welding machine

Specialization:

• Custom fabrication

• Factory assembly

Additional Information

Transportation Requirements:

• Must have own transportation

• Valid driver’s license required

• No public transportation available

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg)

• Physically demanding

• Excellent hand-eye coordination

• Standing for long periods

• Attention to detail
