Laundry Supervisor Full Time

Whistler Laundry Inc. is seeking a Laundry Supervisor. It’s a permanent full-time (37.5 hours per weekday, evening, and weekend) position with an hourly wage of $27.00. Two weeks of paid vacation.

Main responsibilities and duties as a Laundry Supervisor:

·       Supervise, coordinate, monitor and schedule the activities of dry cleaning and laundry staff and perform laundering activities if required;

·       Hire, train and coach new staff;

·       Assign and review the work of dry cleaning and laundry staff;

·       Create shift schedules;

·       Evaluate the performance of employees and provide feedback to the owner;

·       Maintain the supplies and inventory by estimating and ordering supplies required for smooth operation;

·       Ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as necessary;

·       Investigate and resolve customer complaints;

·       Immediately report violations of safety or security policies to the owner.

Requirements:

·       Must have completed high school

·       Must have at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor/team leader;

·       Ability to supervise 5-10 people;

·       Must be able to speak, read and write in English;

·       Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;

·       Must be able to multitask;

·       Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, job task planning and organizing.
