Responsibilities
Tasks
Maintaining a safe and healthy environment
Working with adults, youth and their families
Building positive working relationships with the youth, adults, their families, community members, andother professionals (e.g. social workers, probation officers)
Facilitating recreational and/or educational activities
Performing youth outreach as needed
Encouraging and modeling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans
Driving clients to and from school, appointments, outings, etc.
Meet with clients to assess their progress, give support and discuss any difficulties or problems
Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs by tracking clients’ behavioral changes and responses to interventions
Assess and investigate eligibility for social benefits
Refer clients to other social services or assist clients in locating and utilizing community resources including legal, medical and financial assistance, housing, employment, transportation, daycare and other services
Credentials

· Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
· First Aid Certificate
