Assured Integrity Group Inc. (AIGI) – 4712 97 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 5S1, is looking for Non-Destructive Technician (NDT) who are interested in working on various jobs. Successful candidates must have a strong work ethic, be willing and capable of working to the highest quality with a strong emphasis on safety, testing equipment to detect discontinuities in objects of various compositions and materials.
The successful candidate should be able to carry out most of the task below:
· Establish techniques for the proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
· Interpret radiographs.
· Calibrate, test, and interpret ultrasonic equipment.
· Conduct liquid penetrant inspection.
· Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards.
· Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects.
· Maintain test result reports.
· Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection.
· Interpret cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts.
· Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators.
· Prepare surfaces for liquid penetrant inspection.
· Use electromagnetic eddy current testing methods.
· Set up and operate radiographic equipment.
· Set up, calibrate, operate, and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment.
· Instruct and supervise trainees as needed.
Education and Skills Requirements:
· Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 (UT1) – NRCan NDTCB
· X-Ray Fluorescence Level 1 (XRF) – NRCan NDTCB
· Magnetic Testing Level 2 (MT2) – Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC)
· Penetrant Testing Level 2 (PT2) – Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC)
· Standard First Aid with CPR and AED (Level C)
· Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
Others:
· Leadership and Managerial Skills
· Successful applicants will possess PCN or CSWIP Phased Array certification
· Minimum two years of advanced ultrasonic phased array practical experience is an asset
· Proficiency in report writing
· Thorough understanding of, and compliance with, safety and quality principles
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
· Valid driver’s license and the flexibility to travel on the job
· Additional CGSB or equivalent NDT certifications would be highly desirable
· Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Experience:
2 or more years’ experience or more
Education:
Post-secondarytraining in any science discipline.
