Early Childhood Educator Level III
Dana Daycare Ltd located in Calgary, Alberta is looking for some experienced and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Level III to join our team. You must be someone who is passionate about working with children.
Duties include but are not limited to:
– Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
– Supervise and coordinate activities of the early childhood educators assistants.
– Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
– Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
– Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
– Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
– Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
Qualifications/Competencies:
Completion of an early childhood education assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in early childhood education
Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E) Level 3 Licensing
Experience in childcare is advantage
Able to work in a team environment
Current First Aid in Child Care and CPR certificate less than 6 months
Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable Sector Screening
Pay attention to details
Good oral and written communication skill
2 to 3 years teaching background/experience
