Food and Beverage Service Supervisor Full Time NEW

The Summit Cafe is seeking a Food and Beverage Service Supervisor for our location in Canmore, AB.

Working conditions:

·       Wage: $20.00 – $21.00/hour depending on experience + gratuities;

·       Working location and business address: 102-1001 Cougar Creek Dr, Canmore, AB T1W 1E1

·       32 – 40 hours per week (early morning, morning, day, weekend, on call);

·       Overtimes are paid at 1,5 rate for hours exceeding 44 hours/week or 8 hours/day

·       4% vacation.

As a Food and Beverage Service Supervisor, you are expected to perform the following duties:

·       Supervise, coordinate, monitor and schedule the activities of staff;

·       Train and coach new staff and demonstrate patience and a positive attitude when providing training and delegating tasks;

·       Effectively create shift schedules, including work station assignments/rotations, employee vacations, employee breaks and overtime assignments;

Cover shift when no one can work;
·       Evaluate the performance of employees and provide feedback to the store manager;

·       Investigate and resolve customer complaints and special requests in a timely, friendly and professional manner;

·       Maintain the supplies and inventory by estimating and ordering supplies required for smooth operation;

·       Ensure compliance with quality, productivity and safety control standards;

·       Make sure every guest is greeted with a smile, thanked for their business and invited to come back;

·       Set an example for other employees by working hard to meet shift production goals.

Job requirements:

·       Must have completed high school;

·       Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory position;

·       Must have some previous supervisory or team leader experience;

·       Must have the ability to supervise 5 people working groups;

·       Must be able to speak, read and write in English;

·       Must have organization skills and the ability to prioritize;

·       Must have excellent communication and organization skills;

·       Must have time-management and decision-making skills and the ability to multitask.
